My Story
My story starts in Wales, my place of birth. Joining the NHS as a clinical scientist working to support patients with physical health needs. Leaving the NHS to join commercial health care then returning to NHS to work as a manager across a number of specialist and clinical management roles.
I started training in the psychological profession during the 1990s gaining qualifications in behavioural change, psychology, counselling and psychotherapy and more recently in clinical supervision. Starting in private practice in 2012. Alongside these have professional qualifications the field of clinical science, management and training.
My approach to mental health and wellbeing has changed, progressed and evolved from the traditional ill-health model to a contemporary model which sees the state of being influenced by a wide spectrum often referred to as 'The Wider Determinants of Heath & Wellbeing'.
As a result how I work is relational, understanding, working with, supportive.
